Commercial cleaning bids often look the same on paper and turn out very different in practice. The difference usually comes down to who shows up, whether the scope is written down, and what happens when something is missed.
Ask for a written scope by area and frequency. Restrooms, break room, lobby, workstations, glass, floors, and trash should each have a task list and a schedule. If a bid is just a monthly number with no list, you have no way to hold anyone to it.
Ask who will actually be in your building. Consistent, insured staff who know your alarm procedure and your layout clean better and faster than a rotating crew, and they're accountable. Ask whether the company is insured and registered, and get it in writing.
Ask how quality is checked. A signed checklist per visit and a regular walkthrough with your point of contact means small problems get caught before they turn into complaints from staff or customers.
Finally, ask about flexibility. Businesses change, and your scope should be able to change with them without a long-term contract. That's how we run commercial cleaning for offices, salons, and retail across Reno and Sparks: a written scope, the same staff, a signed checklist, and flat monthly pricing you can adjust.
